About Gareth Richards
Gareth was born and raised in Lampeter and still lives in the area. He started cooking when he was around 6 years old, being inspired by his Grandmother. He remembers well when he used to help her in the kitchen – she used to cook cakes and he’d love to create animals out of the dough and cook them.
He enjoys having the chance to cook a range of different recipes on Wedi 3, and to share ideas with the viewers! (It’s also a good excuse for him to buy more new dishes!) His favourite food is pizza, and he hates peanut butter and mushy peas! He loves cooking cakes and puddings.
He would describe his cooking style as modern using familiar ingredients. The best cooking tip someone has given him is to wash all the cooking equipment as you move along through the recipe, and to wash all the dishes before you go to bed!

About Ludovic Dieumegard
Ludo knew from a very early age that he wanted to cook - he used to spend as much time as possible with his Mum in the kitchen helping out. He went to Saint Meen Le Grande College in France for 4 years where he studied cookery and catering and graduated in 1997.
He went on to do his National Service in the Navy and travelled all over France. This gave him a taste for travelling and in 1998 he decided he was going to learn English in order to travel the world!
He visited an agency in Paris and told them he wanted to travel the world - they sent him to Maes y Neuadd in Harlech, North Wales to improve his English!! He spent 4 years here working under the Chef Patron Peter Jackson who was also head of the Welsh Culinary Team.
From here, he moved down to the more cosmopolitan city of Cardiff where he spent 5 years working in Le Gallois restaurant. His English is by now fluent, but the plans to travel the world are on 'permanent hold' as he met Lowri (a local Pembrokeshire girl) in Cardiff and they decided to move back to the area where Lowri was bought up to set up their own venture.
While looking for a location for their own business, Ludo worked in Llys Meddyg in Newport and The Harbourmaster in Aberaeron. They have now found their own business venture and are running Ludo’s at the Coopers in Newcastle Emlyn with Lowri at front of house and Ludo running the kitchen.
